This gorgeous beach is only a 45 minute to 1 hour speedboat ride from Phuket, Thailand. It is essential to add this beach to your itinerary to enjoy the most turquoise, clear waters you have ever seen. Here are my tips to travel with ease to the Similan Islands.

Start of tour
We started our day with a 6am pickup time and were greeted by a kind Thai driver, who took us to the meeting location for breakfast. Our tour group offered a complimentary light breakfast before we headed out on the speedboat, which was perfect before the journey ahead. I recommend taking dramamine, if you tend to get sea sick. The speedboat can be a little rocky, if there are waves.
Once on the speedboat, you will ride for about 45 minutes and arrive at the Similan Islands. During this time, bring headphones and listen to music, enjoy the views, and get ready for the best day trip you have ever taken!
First Stop: donald duck Bay
There are 11 islands in total, and we arrived at Donald Duck Bay first. Here you will experience the most beautiful beach, white powder sand, and turquoise waters. Enjoy a refreshing swim, where the water is so clear you can easily see fish swim by.
- You will get 1-2 hours here at this stop. I recommend getting your pictures first before more people arrive, then relaxing and exploring after.
- There is a fabulous 5 minute or less hike that reveals the most beautiful viewpoint on the Island. Be sure to take videos and pictures at the top, you will not want to forget this view!
